The Anxiety Coach Approach
Anxiety isn’t a mental illness – it’s a complex set of symptoms. Nervous system regulation can help to ease these unpleasant symptoms, but it doesn’t address the underlying root cause, so it doesn’t provide deep or lasting relief.
My mission is to help you break free from the grip of anxiety, permanently, by identifying and addressing the underlying root causes, which are unique to you.

The reason you don’t know why you’re anxious all the time is because the root causes are buried deep within your subconscious. And you have psychological defences in place that won’t allow you to go straight to the root cause. So, the first stage of the healing process is to develop your mind-body connection, which gives you the capability to feel deeply into your body, and the capacity to be with whatever you unearth.
Symptoms
Anxiety healing begins with your symptoms. You feel like shit and don’t really know why, but you desperately want to feel better.
Fears & Coping
The underlying cause of your anxiety is buried under layers of subconscious fears, programming, old beliefs and conflicting coping strategies.
Root Cause
Beneath all the layers lies an insecure sense of self. This wobbly foundation means our entire psyche is unstable, which makes us feel anxious.
Healing
Reassuring, healing and empowering the insecure sense of self that underlies our entire psyche is the key to healing anxiety.
Chronic Anxiety
Everyone feels a bit anxious from time-to-time. It’s a perfectly normal short-term response to stress or uncertainty (e.g. before an exam or public speaking). It fades once the situation is over, and it doesn’t significantly interfere with daily life.
For some people though, anxiety is a very different beast. The persistent, excessive worry or fear, even when there’s no immediate threat, can be truly debilitating. It impacts wellbeing, strains relationships, and impairs daily functioning, making it difficult to live a normal life, let alone live life to the full.
Chronic anxiety is more than just occasional nervousness or stress. It’s a complex, deep-seated response that affects your mind, heart and body.
Your nervous system is confusing discomfort with danger, so is triggering a Fight, Flight or Freeze (shutdown) response.
Whether you’re struggling with generalised anxiety disorder, social anxiety, health anxiety, or panic attacks, the impact it has on your life can be profound.
Most other approaches (traditional and modern) focus on managing symptoms through nervous system regulation and coping techniques, which may provide temporary relief but fail to address the underlying core of the issue.
Real healing only occurs when we delve deeper into the root causes of anxiety. These causes can be complex and are unique to each individual, often stemming from past experiences, unprocessed emotions and deeply held beliefs. By addressing these underlying factors, I can help you to break free from the anxiety cycle and experience real, transformative healing.
Because the underlying cause of each person’s anxiety is unique, 1 to 1 sessions are far more effective than the group sessions that many coaches and therapists offer. A deeply rooted, highly personalised issue, such as anxiety, requires a deeply supportive, highly personalised approach to healing.
Most group anxiety programs and some self-study programs cost £1500 ($2000). You’ll be pleased to know that my 12 week 1 to 1 anxiety healing program costs less than that. If your anxiety is highly complex, it may take a little longer, in which case extra costs will apply. But you can be certain that 1 to 1 work is faster and more effective than group work or self-study because it is tailored specifically to you.
The Holistic Approach to Anxiety
Healing anxiety is not a one-size-fits-all process. I take a holistic approach to each client’s anxiety healing journey because anxiety is both physiological and psychological. Anxiety involves the body, heart and mind – sensations, feelings, emotions, thoughts, beliefs and behaviours, and effective healing requires all of these aspects to be addressed.
My approach incorporates evidence-based therapies such as Somatic Coaching and Emotional Release, but I go beyond these methods. I work with clients to explore the deeper roots of their anxiety, which may include past trauma, unhelpful thought patterns and unresolved emotional conflicts. By identifying and addressing these core issues, we aim for a complete transformation rather than just symptom management or nervous system regulation.

Anxiety can make even the smallest steps feel overwhelming, so I create a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences and emotions at your own pace. A Personalised Healing Plan
No two people experience anxiety in the same way, which is why I offer personalised anxiety healing tailored to your specific needs. From our very first session, I take the time to get to know you, understand your experiences, and begin to identify the root causes of your anxiety. From there, we develop your ability to sense your inner experiences, your capacity to be with those experiences, and deepen into them. Your nervous system’s innate intelligence gradually reveals a multidimensional map of your anxiety, involving sensations, feelings, emotions, thoughts, beliefs and behaviours. When we have this fuller understanding of your anxiety we begin the emotional healing work. The process concludes by helping you to fully embody a new way of being in the world, without anxiety or panic.
Root Cause Healing
Unlike most other anxiety programs that only help you to live with your anxiety by managing your symptoms (mindfulness, breathwork and nervous system regulation), my approach is dedicated to permanently healing your anxiety at its root cause. By addressing the deeper issues that fuel your anxiety, we can create long-lasting change and prevent your debilitating symptoms from ever returning. This approach is truly transformative because it allows my clients to move beyond their anxiety and regain control over their lives.
Convenient Online Sessions
When I suffered from anxiety, the last thing I wanted to do was to leave the house, or travel to see a therapist or coach. This why I offer online sessions via Zoom – it’s quicker and more convenient for everyone. So, whether you’re at home or at work, you can access the support you need with just a click. Online coaching allows me to work with clients across the UK and internationally, so distance is never a barrier to your anxiety healing journey.
About Me
My personal struggle with anxiety for 15 years was the main factor that got me started on my personal journey of healing and self-discovery – a journey that eventually resulted in me becoming The Anxiety Coach.
I’m a coach and therapist, specialising in anxiety and panic disorders. With years of experience in the field, I have developed a deep understanding of the complexities and nuances of anxiety, and the best methods for healing it at its source. My approach is “holistic”, which means I take your entire being into account – mind, heart, body and soul. My multi-faceted approach is far more effective than cognitive approaches, like CBT, especially with generalised anxiety disorder, when the reason for the anxiety isn’t immediately clear.
I’m based in Grantham, Lincolnshire, but my coaching practice extends far beyond my local community. Thanks to the power of online therapy, I work with clients across the UK and internationally via Zoom. This means that no matter where you’re located, you can access professional, compassionate, tailored support from the comfort of your own home.
